Ava M. Roberts, Founder, Executive Director Ava has developed and facilitated many
educational programs over the years including Horses Heal in 2003. During her more than 30 years with horses, she
has had the opportunity to study many natural horsemanship philosophies including Parelli, where she received her
Level I certification in 2004. She received her original certification in Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) in 2004
from Franklin Levinson’s Horse Whisperer Seminars. In 2008 she gained additional certification and training
in EAL/EAC through the OK Corral Series. As an Equine Specialist, she works with all aspects of the Horses Heal program.

Teri Renaud, CATC, EAC Te ri became a Certified Addictions Treatment Counselor in
1997 and worked at Casa Youth Shelter for eight years helping youth at risk. Teri became certified as a Guided Imagery Therapist
in 1999. She helped write a home study program for CATC CEUs that teaches counselors the value of Guided Imagery in the recovery
field. Her life-long love of horses drew her to equine assisted counseling. She has taken courses both through OK Corral and EAGALA and is a certified Equine Assisted
Counselor (EAC). Teri has been with Earth Connections’ Horses Heal program since 2006. Now 16 years recovered, she works
with youth at risk, and both youth and adults with chemical dependence and eating disorders. For more information about Teri
