Control -- Control
is an illusion. Letting go of our need to control frees us to appreciate
and remain open to the wonderful surprises life often hands us. We can become more spontaneous and accepting. Remember, what
you try to control, controls you. Come learn how
horses can help you begin the process.
If you work in the field or are just curious about Equine Assisted Counseling,
join us for an exciting program that will allow you to experience first-hand how and why Equine Assisted Counseling is so powerful for clients in recovery. Horses live in the present moment and give immediate,
unfiltered and honest feedback to those around them. Although there are amazing similarities between horses and humans, many
of our common characteristics are naturally exhibited by horses but require work for people to achieve, such as honesty, living
in the now, and observation skills. Activities with the horses set up metaphors allowing self-awareness and healing for
clients. This program is outdoors at a horse stable so please dress appropriately:
casual cloths and close-toed shoes a must, hats recommended. We will be asking for audience participation so come prepared
to have fun! Earn 3 CE contact hours, enjoy light refreshments and network
with colleagues.
